Our hospitality house is going well. We have had about 4 families in it now and they have been blessed to have a free, warm place to stay as they have navigated the Red Cross hospital system while they are here!
This month we have a father, mother, and their 6 year old son who are staying there. They arrived a few weeks ago after a long and hazardous 20 hour drive through a blizzard over two 16,000' passes! They showed up at the house with only one thing for their time here: a small bag of Tsampa - barley flour used in making "cream of wheat" . Talk about traveling light!
The boy has a hole in his heart and requires a very delicate surgery to save his life. There is a fair probability he could die in this surgery if it does not go well. The family is so afraid because they have had another family member die in the exact way with the exact same surgery. There are a lot of emotions going on now for them.
Thursday our time (Wednesday night your time in America) the surgery will happen...
PLEASE BE THINKING ABOUT THEM THAT THEIR SON WILL LIVE AND THEY WILL SEE THE HAND OF OUR FATHER TO HELP THEM!
